Overview
The Award in Responsible Alcohol Retailing is designated for anyone who works on licensed retail premises and who is, or likely to be, involved in the sale of alcohol including: bar staff, supermarket cashiers, waiters/waitresses, and licensed shop cashiers.
This qualification provides essential knowledge and understanding of the responsibilities of alcohol retailers authorised by a personal licence holder to sell alcohol. It will enable those who complete the qualification to act within the law to support the designated premises supervisor to retail alcohol responsibly on their licensed premises.

What does the exam consist of?
There is an end of course multiple choice test and if you successfully pass you will receive a certificate of achievement.
How long is the course?
The e-learning course is designed to take around 5 hours to complete. This will depend on your prior experience and on how much time you allocate to complete the course (e.g. you may wish to complete the whole course in one sitting, or complete modules of the course over a period of time). When and how you learn is flexible and you can choose what suits you the best.
